Abdominal Adhesions - Protective Herbal Program
100ml Bottle, 10 drops taken in water 6 to 10 times daily prior to and immediately after surgery and continued for 6 or 8 weeks afterward. $56

An adhesion is a band of scar tissue that binds 2 parts of tissue together, which should be separate. Adhesions may appear as thin sheets of tissue similar to plastic wrap, or as thick fibrous bands.

Adhesive tissue develops in the abdomen, almost as a protective mechanism, in any case where the energy or integrity of the abdominal cavity is disrupted or shocked. This could be through surgery, infection, trauma, or radiation.

Abdominal adhesions are a common complication of surgery, occurring in up to 90% of people who undergo abdominal or pelvic surgery. Adhesions also occur in 10% of people who have never had surgery.

Holistically, abdominal adhesions are seen as an overly protective response to the intrusion (surgical or energetic) into this area, which we instinctively protect being soft and exposed.

Many routine surgical procedures of the past created more problems than they solved (appendectomy and ovarian cyst operations particularly) and these have been largely discontinued unless unavoidable. Any person exhibiting keloid scarring should avoid abdominal surgery at almost any cost.

Any patient who has developed in the past, bothersome adhesions as a result of surgery or who wish to reduce the likelihood of such complications, may follow a protective program which consists of herbal and energetic treatments immediately prior to, and following their surgery.

The mixture I provide for such patients consists of a concentrated extract mix of the herbs; Chamomile, Comfrey, Equisetum, Rosehips and Yarrow along with the Bach Flower Remedies Rescue Remedy, Walnut, Mimulus, Vine and Red Chestnut.

I also recommend Reiki treatments on the day before the surgery followed by two to four treatments in the week or so following.

This program of herbs and energetic preventative treatment should be included as a simple, inexpensive and safe preventative procedure in all surgical environments. I anticipate the day that this is the case.

In the meantime, with modern western medicine denying the whole field of holistic medical understanding, we must fend for ourselves.
